Me

Life in Silicon Valley (SF Bay Area), or Silly Valley, as I like to call it, is a challenge. It’s full of opportunities at hundreds of well-funded startups as well as established giants like Oracle, Google, and Cisco – as long as you have an engineering degree or a friend on the inside. The cost of living is among the highest in the nation, and I honestly don’t know how minimum wage folks manage to survive here. Not sure how a high school dropout from a small central valley town survives here, but I do. Luck and hard work have a lot to do with it. When I arrived here too many years ago to mention, companies were so desperate for workers that anyone with half a brain and grandiose ambitions had a chance to climb the corporate ladder. So I did. It’s been interesting and entertaining. A real circus with jugglers and clowns and sleight of hand around every corner. My name is SillyValleyGal, and I live here.
